My intent for G3 was to proceed as I had with 1 & 2, with new chapters taking place between those in the previous issues. Editorial “suggested” that, instead of hopscotching thru the Past, I take the series forward, thru the ten centuries leading up to the Legion of Superheroes. I wasn’t thrilled with the idea—DC had very few familiar touch points across that millennium—but I did what I could.)

(Many of you might be relieved my version of G3 didn’t happen. One of the chapters focused on a 40+ Billy Batson, who was now basically addicted to being Captain Marvel—Cap actually being physically younger than Billy. What can I say? Those were Dark times!)

JB: "...Wasn’t magic involved there?..."

Yes, it was some crystal that allowed Wolverine to regenerate from a single cell. It seems later writers must have overlooked that part, as his healing power became more and more powerful over the years.

Thanks for that reminder. I missed out on my opportunity for a commission, so that's my option now.

More Generations, and the JSA/Invaders, would be fantastic!

I’ve kicked around the notion of doing more GENERATIONS here, something more in the format of 1 & 2, as opposed to what DC asked me to do for 3

This would be amazing if it happens.

Me: "Yes, it was some crystal that allowed Wolverine to regenerate from a single cell. It seems later writers must have overlooked that part, as his healing power became more and more powerful over the years."

JB: "Residual effects?"

I don't think any other writer gave it such thought, but now that you mention it that is a good way to explain the later stories where he seemed to heal in seconds.

Hey JB,

Your Nightcrawlers on today's page were stunning, to me. I tried to find one panel to single out, but couldn't. I still just can't believe this is happening.

I hope Elsewhen goes on for a loooong time, but when you do "take a break" from it ;)  , I vote for more Generations stuff. I love that Series.

Elsewhen has been such a fun thing to read daily. A Generations book would be equally entertaining.

Though I am a Fantastic Four and Alpha Flight man myself. I know, regrettably, Alpha Flight is never likely to happen, but I hold out a hope you may play with the Fantastic four a little someday.

I hope this has been just as much fun for you to create as it is for us to read. It must be nice to use the characters and follow their stories as you see fit without forced crossovers, interrupted storylines, etc.

Look at the sadistic look on Alt-Angel. He is enjoying himself way too much.

One of my favorite things about todays page is the placement of Nightcrawler's foot. Love Kurt.

Really enjoying this storyline.

It is so striking how good your art looks when not filtered through an inker (other than yourself).

Wonderful.
