Donald Trump may not, but I could easily see one of his children running. Don Jr., or perhaps even Ivanka.
George Bush lost after his first term but that didn't stop his son from running and serving two terms.

Yes, Trump's offspring constitute a different kettle of fish.

I do not see the Republicans being stupid enough to let him run as one of them again.
********
The hatred and decisiveness he has brought to the forefront of the Republican Party isn’t going away any time soon. His flock will still be waving their Trump flags in 2024. No matter if he’s running. His supporters won’t ever give up the hope. I’ve seen two new Trump flags hung up in my neighborhood since Biden was declared the winner. The Republicans still won’t have the backbone to stand against the Trump belief system.
Personally, I don’t think PapaTrump will be able to run. He’ll either be in jail or dead. Possibly on the run abroad to stay out of jail. However, I do see him starting a new network to keep his brand alive and see Junior running on daddy’s platform. He’ll never command the flock like daddy, tho.

Remember that the GOP was moving in this direction long before Trump. Trump just saw the writing & exploited it.
There are many in the GOP that think this is still the correct way forward.
I don’t see a change in direction in 2024

There's a few non-Trumpers in their, but not many. Romney, for example. And Susan Collins. I still disagree with their politics generally, but at least they get the idea that Trump has crossed a line of respect and decency in politics.
Disheartening to hear the likes of Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell backing Trump's refusal to face reality.

Despite the family connection, I don't see any if his adult children having the same success at politics that he has. Maybe Ivanka, but that's it. While I can't stand him, the senior Trump has charisma that they don't. Like everything in their lives, they can ride on his successes, real and imagined, but I don't think they can reach the same heights on their own. The same lows, maybe.

About Republicans letting Trump run again: If his base is still with him, the Republicans in power will continue to back Trump and grovel at his feet.

Trump garnered 71 million votes, I just don't see the GOP passing that up.
Edit: Aarrgh! I fell into the trap, this should be in that other thread.
Onward and Upward Joe Biden!

Biden still being blocked from necessary transition preparation briefings and support. Those people in the streets with the mass produced 'Stop the Steal' signs and other Trump products waved about are working directly against your country's future. They think everyone else is a dupe while actually paying for this stuff and maybe even handing some of what little money they have to spare directly to the multi-Billionaire victim. Whatever happened to conservatives who were skeptical about the entitled victim types? I can still remember how much they hated those sorts of people. I would've thought them most immune to this kind of con. Now some are even willing to risk their lives in the streets during a pandemic sans masks to support the provably least loyal person they're likely to ever know, if they actually could know him. Just more sneered at in private fodder to throw under the bus for this genetically superior family is all I see. I guess they are born every minute though, and they still sell loads of Chinese editions of Art Of The Deal books.
The information age. Yeah... sure. It's down to Joe Biden to inform the public about protecting themselves while a chunk of them think he's the thief in the night. Well, just wait, there literally will be a night before long where Mr. T will steal away and not think twice for even a second about the ruins left behind, he's done it many times before. Perhaps he and Guiliani will have neighboring palaces in Russia with the literal gold toilet seat standard they are accustomed to.

They think everyone else is a dupe...•• A common condition among conspiracy nuts. They assume themselves to be SO much smarter than everyone else, while demonstrating quite the opposite.

I've finally figured it out:
Trump and his supporters are all "Karens". Whiny, self-righteous, loud, abusive, entitled witches who think that if they yell loud enough, others will actually be stupid enough to fall for their bs. While being so delusional they believe they are in the right, no matter how much evidence to the contrary they are presented with.

I sort of grew up in what is now Trump country and I have the scars to show for it. But to dismiss them as simply "Karens" ignores the legitimate grievances they have. And I see that blindness all across the Left. Which only sets up the return of Trump. Or whatever populist leader or movement that succeeds Trump.
