The Namor zip-a-tones were indeed cool. Reminiscent of the original tales.

I can't attest to moments I've forgotten, but a favourite small/quiet moment is Johnny Storm --crushed after visiting a burn ward -- hailing a cab in FF 285. Great issue throughout, of course.

"Right but another character in that Thor story brought up the fact that the last time Galactus was seen Reed "tricked" him into entering the Negative Zone but he must have figured a way out."
...
You're right Eric, I forgot about that reporter who overheard them talking. So that story was mentioned, though he never said anything about" figuring a way out". Just assumed I guess.

Galactus fought the Sphynx on earth during JB's first run on FF as artist same storyline that introduced Terrax.

Ha, I forgot about that one!

One "moment" that stays with me was when Johnny showed up at Julie D'Angelo's door, devastated after Frankie Raye left. His FF uniform was so disheveled, it struck me.

A moment that I can't quite place: There was a beautiful scene in Next Men that was inside a home (mansion) looking out on a colorful Autumn day. I think it was when Jasmine thought she was married to Trump (so, the White house maybe?) but I haven't gotten around to looking it up to see if my memories match or not.
Yes, I know.

In FF #270, Johnny and Alicia are speaking in his loft, and she has to leave. She kisses him on the cheek and goes. I could almost feel that kiss, and it started such a brand new page in Marvel history (which others felt free to adulterate later, but that's not the point.)
Man, I sooo hated the Johnny/Alicia relationship. Not because it was a bad story line or anything like that, but because it made me so f**king angry at the both of them! I was pissed that they'd do that to Ben. It really evoked an emotional reaction.
And to me, that's an example of great writing.

The breakdown in the nursery after Sue's miscarriage.
And something I always liked was watching Sue's hair grow and change over the entire run.from short to curly to her pregnancy look with the ponytail to the post-miscarriage look where she had it severely combed back to her decision to no longer be a pushover which led to the mullet (which I believe was a contest winner?) and beyond.

The mullet gets a lot of grief, but I remember really liking that look when it rolled out. And yes, I had one. And yes, I cringe looking back on mine. But it was of the time.

Same here. It was well done, but Alicia is forever Ben's lady in my mind.
