Geeze! The Goblyn Queen's lower region is a little overexposed don't you think?

If I see the "spin" when looking at Havok, I figure the artist got it right.

This looks great!  The Byrne touch is right on this wonderful piece. I've loved all the Havok commissions, makes me want one even though I don't really have a connection to the character.

Havok looks perfect.  I get a slight Neal Adams vibe off of him, which is as it should be as it was Adams' creation.

Not easy to overshadow your Wolverine but that Havok does it, one of my favorite and most underutilized characters in the Marvel universe.

Love this outfit for Havok!  So perfectly suited to his powers.  That Wolverine's not too shabby either.

The thing that makes the Havok costume work so well comes straight from the way Neal Adams draws. One of the most photorealistic artists ever to work in comics, he is nevertheless not afraid to be UNrealistic when it suits the drawing. Basically, he never forgets that it's a DRAWING, not a photograph. Even when he's tracing a photograph!

So the "Havok effect" on the costume -- seen from head-on no matter what the angle from which the figure is viewed -- is TOTALLY "unrealistic", but for the dramatic visual language of comic books, it works PERFECTLY.

There are too few artists -- especially among the younger ones -- who can embrace this simple equation today.

I can't understand why any artist would want to change the Havok costume. It was perfect when Neal designed it, and it's perfect when rendered by JB.

Very nice!  A cool idea for a series of commissions.  Can't wait to see what's next!
