Oh, and this same review had much rumination on how GENERATIONS fit into the “multi-verse.” Anybody paying attention would realize the correct answer is “not at all”—tho DC did muddy the waters by putting an ElseWorld bullet on the cover, despite me asking them not to.

sigh

I am so excited for this collection! One of my favorite JB runs - all three series
are wonderful.

What is the page/paper quality like? DC has been good about this on past
collections.

"...and then go on to say he didn’t like the use of the Ultra-Humanite in this story."

...

I thought the use of him was ingenious!

And yes the paper is nice, it's slick but absorbs the light.

Hey, they corrected the color scheme on the Kid Flash costume in Generations II issue 2.

I was on the fence about getting this omnibus, I have the original issues, I have the TPB of Gen I and II. And now the Omnibus. It is a nice collection, glad I got it.

DC keeps hitting these Hard Cover Omnibus out of the park. The Generations one is very nice. I have the Simonson HC Orion Omnibus and even if you take in the fact the artist didn't like how that collection didn't print the back up stories in order that is still one of the nicest comic collections I have ever owned. I will be on the look out for more of these.
I also have my eye on the IDW John Byrne FF artist edition after seeing a youtube review by Scott Sackett. It looks amazing too.

Hey, I got mine today which is pretty good considering how spotty delivery of collections has been in the UK during the last year.

I've read G1 and G2 before but can anyone confirm that G3 is standalone if I wanted to just read that?

G3 is as "standalone" as the others. There are references to the previous series, but none that the stories depend upon--and none that aren't covered under the standard "every issue is the first issue for somebody" rule.

Ordered my copy on Tuesday. Can't wait to finally get to read Generations 3. I have the first two minis already but glad to have the whole thing collected in one big book.
