Finished this page before receiving my rapidograph pens. I'll play around with them on the next.

Elsewhen page 16
It took all of my discipline to not put an exclamation point after 'KROOM'.
I really had fun with this page. I'm constantly learning which tools to use for the different material texture all the while staying as faithful to the pencils as I possibly can.

When it's done well and looks easy for you, then you know you're getting there. To my eye, these are the best pages you've posted, Paul. They look good and like you kept a light attitude.

(I never noticed before how the semi-circles in the bottom half of the top page kind of connect. It adds to the sense of movement as I read it-- and your line choices supported it. Thumbs up!)

I agree, I think these are the best inks you’ve done, Paul. Nice job!

Page 16 gives me some Walt Simonson inking vibes.

Thanks Mark!
Pretty amazing that you sensed Walt Simonson in those inks - He's one of the ones I've been studying. In fact, I'm currently inking an image he recently posted! Good eye

Elsewhen page 17
I had scanned this page into Photoshop with the intention of really cleaning it up and smoothing out some of the lines but figured I would leave it as is - warts and all. I'm hopeful this will train me to get things right the first time!

Elsewhen page 18 (revisited)
Previously inked but went back to correct some things and minimize brightness/contrast

Paul, you are a trooper!

I have just gone back and looked through all 94 pages of this thread (my eyes are burning... It's a lot of pages...) and your inking of the page above is about 10 times better than your first attempt.

You've come a long way, kiddo.

Thanks so much Peter!
I can't believe you went back and checked out all of those early inking posts - no wonder your eyes are burning! I must say I did that about a month or so ago and had an inkling I was improving because I can't even look at my early pages without cringing (:

While doing some inking study I really notice how much the inkers of the past had such an individual style as compared to current inkers which to me all seem indistinguishable (for the most part).
