Given the way the character was subsequently messed up--too many cooks!--that may not have been a great idea. In ELSEWHEN, however, I am unencumbered by the whims of other writers.

I CAN NOT wait for Elsewhen to exist; in ANY form!

Y'know, even tho I coined it, I'll admit I am not totally in love with "Elsewhen" as a title. Don't hate it, it just doesn't SING for me.

How about simply 'John Byrne's X-Men'?

Although, your own lawyer might accidentally send you a Cease and Desist... ;)

(There's a little devil on my shoulder that wants to mock that up as a logo, using the font style of JBNM...)

*Okay, I'll go back to the drawing board...

ALTERNATE X-MEN

X-MEN: DIFFERENT PATHS

UNCANNY X-MEN: TAKE TWO

X-MEN: ANOTHER ROAD

I can't really think of something yet that really works and sounds right, but in my examples above I figure the title should still give some suggestion of book's deviation from the established continuity after #137.

For real titles, I'm drawn to Frost's "Road not taken" as inspiration for the theme of the series:

X-MEN:  DIVERGENCE

Or how bout emphasizing the uniqueness with adding the old byline as the title:

X-MEN:  ALL NEW, ALL DIFFERENT

Even if the title JB chooses to go with does not include "all new, all different" officially, that would be a good phrase to include somewhere on the cover as a blurb. It not only serves as a nod to the older issues of the then new team era, but it informs readers this will not be a reprint series.
