Probably not new, and I don’t know half the sources, but fun to spot familiar forms. (Let’s skip the “Why no __________?” comments, okay?) LINK

Good stuff! The Nostromo is much bigger than I thought it was.

I gave them a score of brownie points for including Thunderbird 3.Once again had to remind myself that Thunderbird 2 is not a spaceship.

The original Enterprise ties for top spot with Fireball XL5. The latter has a LOT of nostalgia attached.

The Nostromo was a towing vessel so that is why it was so large. In Alien they were towing some gigantic ship/structure.
I think it is interesting to see which ships have symmetry and which don’t. I’m assuming any ship designed to enter a planet’s atmosphere is symmetrical. The juggernaut from Prometheus seems like an odd design.

The juggernaut from Prometheus seems like an odd design.•• In the original ALIEN that ship had crashed on the planet, so it was probably not intended to land.

Was pleased to see so many Mass Effect ships (it being my favorite Sci-Fi Universe). The Elite:Dangerous ships were nice too. I've spent a lot of time grinding for those things.

Whenever I think of spaceships landing, I go back to an issue of NATIONAL LAMPOON that came out in the Seventies. The premise was that it was Jackie, not Jack, who got killed in Dallas. So, without the impetus of "doing it for JFK" the American space program kind of petered out, as the Russians went on firing stuff at the Moon. A foldout timeline of JFK's extended presidency told us about (from memory) Beetcha Tuit I making a "very hard landing" on the lunar surface, followed by II, III, etc, all basically crashing. Humor!

I would have thought the Enterprise-D would be a little larger. Especially with families aboard.
