From a bluntly utilitarian standpoint, vaccinating the vulnerable makes sense
because it consumes considerably fewer resources than treatment, probate
and disposing of the carcass.

From a bluntly utilitarian standpoint, you write off the vulnerable who have less
likelihood to make long term contributions to society and protect those who
do. Keeping the co-morbid alive is a long term negative societal investment.

I'm grateful we are not taking that approach. I'm an essential worker...I'd
gladly step aside to let someone more vulnerable than me be protected,
regardless of their overall health state.

According to one of Trump's latest tweets, Guiliani has tested positive for the virus.

In more than one high risk category, but given his cavalier attitude to wearing a mask and social distancing, I presume he is not worried.

Courtesy of the New York Times, see where you fit in the Vaccine Line

Not to give away where I stand in my state and county. From the information that submitted, I am behind an estimated 23 million people in the US to get the vaccine.

So it's highly possible that Rudy Ghoulie was a superspreader.

What an ass!!!!!

Speaking of ass, I wonder if his farts at the hearing in Michigan last week contaminated anyone sitting in the room?

PS - I know! I know!!!  The disgusting stuff I'm typing at lunch time.

The most offensive thing about Rudy Giuliani is hardly his flatulence.

According to the Times, I'm behind 135.7 million in the US, 956,400 in my state, and 52,000 in my county. Considering I'm a teacher, I'm a bit surprised.

The doctors told Giulinani he has a low white blood cell count, but he demanded an immediate recount.

It's extremely generalized though.  There's going to be certain criteria involved to get you "in line" for the vaccine.

Anyway, here an excellent article for those who want to know more about the upcoming vaccines:

Just got word that a cousin passed from covid about 20 minutes ago.
He was my dad’s first cousin and growing up our families were quite
close. His daughters are like sisters to my brothers and me. Their mom,
his wife, was the family member that passed from brain cancer I told
you guys about a couple of years ago. So now they’ve lost both parents
in just a couple of years. He had been bad for the last few days but I
kept holding out hope that he would beat it.
