Hasn't there been enough of both Clintons for a lifetime yet? You've either heard what they have to say or not... I have had some respect for Hillary (much more than for Bill), and I think she was cheated out of office what with breitbart, National Enquirer, Limbaugh, RT News, CBN, and a seeming hydra of other disinformation peddlers... but they've both more than had their share of runs and media attention. They need to work from a quieter place if either still wants to contribute.
Bernie Sanders (and Michael Moore) have done a lot to try and involve Canada in the U.S. political health care 'battle', and they misrepresent the system we have deliberately, plus painted it far too simplistically and ideally. Its is different from province to province and has changed over time, from where, in British Columbia, people paid directly, monthly and otherwise, to now a shift onto employers for no good reason I can see is making it harder and less attractive to business here.
I paid a fair amount of personal and business taxes, and also directly for provincial medical coverage, for multiple decades and I don't take kindly to people from the U.S. basically muscling me out of my pills at the price my system arranged for, or their basic availability at all! If I don't like publicity stunts, half-truths, and simplistic grand promises from one politician I am not going to overlook it from another. Bernie Sanders made himself directly my antognist with the stunt of taking a busload of people across the border into my country for 'cheaper' pills. I'll do every bit of lobbying I can to stop Canadian pharmaceuticals leaving the country in such large amounts for non-Canadians' benefit. I think it is a horrible thing he and other U.S. politicians of both parties have been at for awhile now involving our supply. Bernie and others should've 'fixed' your own problems without stealing from or involving your neighbour. If you can't that is nothing I can do a thing about, but I will do what I can speaking against a president Sanders as well as any more Trump. We get him directing more five year bans be handed out to Canadians if they are single (threat to marry), unemployed or have a low bank balance right now and he has the gall to promise our pills to all states as part of his re-election platform. Making more enemies is a habit that needs to end, non?

The USA has privately paid health care and Canada has publicly paid health care! Right?
It's not so simple. Last figures I saw said the divide is more like:
USA: 67% private funding and 33% public funding (via Medicare, Medicaid, and veterans health care)
Canada: 67% public funding and 33% private funding (prescriptions for people under 65, chiropractors, physio therapy, ambulances, etc)
As a Canadian, I too worry about US customers creating shortages in our drugs. But I think any President other than Bernie would cave to Big Pharma lobbying to prevent truly open borders for prescriptions.

I don't worry about it, I'm experiencing it. Started just over a year ago where I would get a call back from my pharmacist saying they can't fill my prescription and to call around elsewhere. I can only imagine how that feels in a small town. Low income people have their prescription partly or fully covered, so they are also among those who can't shop elsewhere.
It's crazy when people don't even leave the U.S. to place orders from Canada. They've (Bernie and anyone else behind us being their salvation for their problems) abused and weaponized something that was a civilized courtesy for travelers and tourists.
Enjoy much higher drug prices in Canada right now for all this abusing of our system... one of mine has almost tripled in price, if I can even get it. It has real effects too to get bumped to various stop-gap substitutes which I've also had. If I do get stopped on one med though it has a significant percentage of resulting deaths. Ten states can now mass import our drugs to their for profit uses, people on both sides want to make that fifty states.
Open borders for prescriptions do not exist for me, I cannot try and get something from elsewhere if I wanted to without losing coverage. When I am in the U.S. I am expected to carry hundreds of dollars in private insurance which I do, and bring my own prescription drugs (which are usually thoroughly vetted). Why would I have any benefit from open borders on drugs? It makes me pay for something I paid into all my life for a lower priced negotiated and sometimes subsidized supply, and it drives the prices up on drugs that are behind the counter but not prescription. If Bernie and Moore give you a superiority of socialized Canada I guess that's some small benefit, but I don't get that feeling about our increasingly short-staffed system, and now having the stress of simply getting my needed medicine at all.

DAMN.
Elizabeth Warren is dismantling Mike Bloomberg in real time on national television tonight... I don’t think anyone should be asking “Where is Warren?” anymore. She can absolutely stand strong against Trump.
Bloomberg debates like a guy who has never been asked to answer for anything by anyone.

I've seen people posting along the lines of "For a man so against Socialism, he sure got publicly owed".

Caught a moment of Sanders railing against Bloomberg for trying to “buy the election” and huffing that it’s “one man, one vote”.Such a fundamental lack of comprehension does not fill me with confidence.

The Bernie Sanders spokeswoman who kept 'misspeaking' about Bloomberg is pure Trumpian nonsense... that he'd had a heart attack when he had never had one, and then claiming he'd been accused of sexually assaulting many women, down to sexually discriminating, down to a handful of actual complaints of gender and/or race discrimination in hiring and firing, which is the actual reality (and over a twenty plus year period). If he keeps this spokeswoman on after what she's done that alone should disqualify Bernie as a worthy president.

Watched a bit of the debate last night.
Only Jeff Ross was missing for it to officially become "The Comedy Central Roast of Mike Bloomberg".
I have to admit it was funny to see the rest of the candidates take turns to blast him. Finally some unity!

that he'd had a heart attack when he had never had one -------------------------------------------- He had open heart surgery and had a bunch of stints put in. That's close enough to a heart attack to qualify as 'misspeaking'. And as far as what Bloomberg was accused of, we really have no idea, since it's all covered by NDAs he won't lift. That may not even have been misspeaking.
