Do you think these people even realise it is a flag?
But then again, How many people actually realise that the British Union Flag does not have the diagonal lines central.

Do you think these people even realise it is a flag?•• I've wondered about that. So many seem to treat it as some kind of starburst. Some have suggested that the actual flag is "impossible" to render on a real human body, to which I respond with this Eaglemoss Silver Surfer I converted years ago...

For the 2012 Olympics, Lacoste made shirts out of the flags of the participating nations. Impossible on the human body? You be the judge.

Vindicator/Guardian's uniform has always been one of my favourites (obviously when depicted correctly!)

Reminds me of my mother... she still sees a gaping mouth on Batmans chest, not a bat symbol!

On some levels, the fact that so many artists get Guardian’s costume wrong makes me sad. My fellow Americans are notorious for knowing almost nothing about the rest of the world. Many would not recognize the Canadian flag 🇨🇦 if it was right in front of them. And those that might...Well, my old chum Gary Cody has long grumbled about a scene in the Kevin Costner UNTOUCHABLES movie, in which Elliot Ness and his team intercept illegal whiskey being shipped down from Canada. The movie is set in the 1920s, but the crates containing the booze are festooned with modern Canadian flags—a design that was not introduced until the early 1960s.

I've always been curious why / when did you decide to stop extending the "stem" down Mac's leg?
and I think messing up the Maple leaf is tied with the number of times other artists mess up Guardian's helmet shape

I clipped the stem somewhat spontaneously, and for no greater reason than that I thought it looked better!
