Well it DOES look better. And can I just commend you for being such a true artist that you restored the "stem stripe" for the flashback in AF 17... lesser artists wouldn't have paid such attention to such a minor detail. (hence the point of others getting the flag wrong)

It's curious to see that the Wendigo and the Sasquatch figures are almost the same figure!!!

They most likely are. Remember the first round of SECRET WARS figures, where Doctor Doom had Iron Man's arms and legs?

In New Invaders #1 (2004) on the title page Union Jack's costume is wrongly coloured, swapping around the red and blue portions. Back in the day, when I mentioned this online, I got many US readers telling me it didn't matter; not that it wasn't a big deal, but that it wasn't even worth mentioning. Sure, in the grand scheme of things, it's not that important, but I'd bet those same "who cares?" responders would have had a very different reaction is someone had messed up the colours for the Stars and Stripes.

I can't work out what you mean Stuart. Looks right to me. Have to say that I had to check reference though - I don't think our flag DOES mean as much to 'us' as the American flag does to Americans.

It's about the fifth page in, Leigh. Blue crosses on a red field. On the one hand, it's a colouring mistake and these kind of things do happen. At the same time, it's kind of important for a character called Union Jack that these colours are right.

I agree Leigh that I don't think we put as much cachet in our flag as Americans do as theirs, and as Peter said, mistakes happen. But likewise, as Peter also said, when it's a character whose very codename is that of the flag, it's a tad unfortunate they didn't get it right. What was annoying though was the utterly dismissive attitude that American fans showed when I mentioned the mistake (again, not making that big a deal of it, just mentioning it). It was very much a "so what, your country's flag isn't important, who cares?" attitude.

You start by saying your flag isn’t important, then you get mad at American fans for saying your flag isn’t important. Color me... confused.

First, you're putting words in his mouth, as he does not say the union jack isn't important.
The Swiss do not care as much about the right to bear arms as Americans. Therefore, the Swiss think the right to bear arms isn't important. Logical or not logical?
Second, given how Americans feel so strongly about respecting their flag, should it be easier or harder to swallow when they are utterly dismissive of another nation's flag?

I think our flag is important, but it IS a hard one to get right! Often it`s flown upside down, which used to be a sign of distress!

I love Mac’s costume, and I prefer the stem to the stripe, for what it’s worth.
