Hi guys.
The situation in Hong Kong is worsening by the minute. On Monday and Tuesday, wole days, the riot police force tried to INVADE one of the University in Hong Kong. More than 1000 Tear Gas canisters and a lot of rubber bullets were fire. The Principal of the University was among the ones hit with tear gas. There were a great number of injured students. Then, they started to go to the other universities around. In many residential areas, the police do not hesitate to attack, arrest anybody they don't like for no reason. Or tear gas the whole areas. Many districts the traffic lights have been vandalized and instead of trying to regulate the traffic with all the traffic jams this creates, they rather hunt for students in the streets. 80 to 90% of my colleagues couldn't come to office yesterday as all roads and public transportation are severely affected. I could only come because I have a bike, but needed to ride for 9,3 miles to reach it. As I live just next to a police station, the last several nights have been quite challenging, with a whole Disco night feeling set up by the police force: ( Projector lights, heavy speaker voices and Tear gas smokes ). You can see the situation hitting on the moral of the Hongkongers. You can see weird stuff, like normal civilians trying to arrange the traffic, while a police car passes like a standard car.
But you can also see the Hong Kong people try their best to resume a normal life as much as possible.
As I write those words, at least one of the University is under attack by the police force who has no more control on themselves and restrain from violence. The situation is dire. There is no way anybody can know how the situation is going to evolve.

We are getting no news of what you say about the universities and lack of traffic control Didier, all we have got this week, is a protestor being shot and another being set alight.

If you want to have more news, fair and balanced, you can have a look on the following links:
RTHK
( Click on the "local" button ).
and the
Hong Kong Free Press
There are a lot of things happening every hour. And I am really sad the international community is not even really aware of what is truly happening.

A protester got shot while he was trying to smack a gun out of the cop's hand. His buddy was wrestling with the cop. The guy who got set on fire, with 3rd degree burns to 30% of his body, was set on fire by a protester. The kids just love Molotov cocktails, but this victim was doused and lit, up close and personal.

With all the impeachment news in the States, it appears the news from Hong Kong is being buried, or even worse, ignored. I hope you stay safe, Didier.

The communists in Beijing, who apparently own the people of Hong Kong somehow, have issued a statement that "you are on the edge of doom". If nothing else it looks like they may be a little late in taking back Taiwan now for their self-appointed lifetime president.
Under Chairman Mao more Chinese people starved to death or were outright murdered than probably even Stalin killed of his own people, and more than the Nazis exterminated, so of course his face is still on the money, symbol of capitalism that it is. You cannot trade, trust, nor make deals with this inhuman soulless monster. If they want to do business they will have to become human, and a good symbolic start would've been dumping all the sad old Mao iconography... like Russia denounced Stalin long ago. That they haven't says you are in for a very long haul indeed.

Joe, I think you should really look a bit more into the reference sources really available. If you look at the whole video, the officer ran and grabbed the protester first. And the one shot was trying to free him.As for the second example, I agree this is despicable, unacceptable and ruthless. You probably didn't saw the other videos available where you can see the man chasing and attacking some protesters in a shopping mall full of people prior to the incident. This happened in Ma On Shan, which is where I happen to live. I am curious to have your opinion of all the Universities being stormed and attacked by the police force.
