The media is downplaying the victory because as ever they let the GOP set terms of the conversation in a pointless effort to blunt criticism of liberal bias.

Listening to Trump's marathon Q&A thing... her's what it sounded like to me in terms of 'highlights'.
I was only focusing on the Senate so it was a huge victory for me last night, believe me.
The people are smart and know what a huge disaster Obama was, that I can tell you.
People wouldn't even understand my tax returns so there's no reason for them to be released.
I don't know why the newsmedia doesn't applaud me like Putin's and Jung-Un's do, so unfair.

It's worth mentioning that Trump campaigned for Rosedale, Heller, Laxalt, Walker, Rennaci, Barletta, and Leah Vukmir.
All LOST. Trump is pretending he "pitched a no-hitter". He did NOTHING to expand his base. In fact, his base eroded last night, in the Midwest and the suburbs.... but Dems have to do better going toward 2020.

Even though I lean more to the right than a lot of my fellow posters, I like the idea of Democrats taking the House while the Republicans keep the Senate. I may be overly optimistic but a lot of excuses are gone right now for both sides not to work together.

I expect all of you to vote Libertarian, Green Party, etc. in 2020.
Republicans and Democrats have had their chance for many, many decades. They failed.
You know what to do. ;-)

In the American system, voting for a third party in a national election is tantamount to not voting at all.

Now that the mid-terms are over, Trump fires Jeff Sessions and the new interim Attorney General Matt Whitaker, someone who has openly opposed the Mueller investigation and said there are ways to end it (like withholding funding) without openly shutting it down. The Saturday Night massacre just became the Wednsday Morning massacre.

Guys, is my humour really not that clear? ;-)
DON'T take anything seriously from me IF there is an emoji at the end of a sentence. Page 1, Chapter 1 of the Robbie Parry Manual.

I could tell you were joking, Robbie, but the Green and Libertarian parties will never get my vote for anything.
I lost any respect I had for the Green when Ralph Nader ran for President and said both Gore and Bush were equally as bad for the environment.
The Libertarians are in some ways worse than the Republicans. The candidate they ran for President when Trump won wanted to privatize Social Security (AW HELL NO!) and raise the retirement age to 70.
Meanwhile, I'm still seething with anger over Tennessee sending Marsha Blackburn to the Senate instead of Phil Bredesen. Blackburn is so corrupt that 60 MINUTES went after her, and she ran a dirty campaign. Bredesen, on the other hand, was one of the best governors we ever had, and didn't believe in bi-partisan bs.
