Higher voter turn out always favors the Dems.

Kevin this election reminds me of the 2016 election predictions, especially the one in the New York Times, where the Times forecast that Hillary had an 85% chance of winning.

No less than FOX NEWS (and NBC) has projected that DEMOCRATS WILL TAKE CONTROL of the House of Representatives - it's just a matter of by how much at this point!

Could be that Fox News is trying to suppress votes on the West Coast.

Still, NBC is just now stating that the Dems have a 95% chance of taking the House. This is the nail-biting hours for sure.

Dems definitely have complete control of the House now.  They needed a net gain of 23, which, at this typing, they have!

The media is making a big deal out of West Virginia (where I live) as some sort of "Red State Chooses Blue" narrative with the re-election of Joe Manchin. He is a two-time governor and and has been elected senator twice. Manchin was never in that much danger. Trump's popularity in the state was the only reason that it was even close and he still beat Patrick Morrisey. It's not like the state has a Republican stranglehold. It's pretty tiring that people in the media decide to proclaim things for a narrative when they've never actually been to the place that they are talking about.

Shawn, when the Army is deployed to the boarder to shore up a political narrative propagated by the White House then I think you have little hope of the media shooting straight about West Virginia, but I understand where you are coming from.

I say it a lot but if a news program is concerned about ratings, that means that actual news is a secondary concern. Two minutes of news, then eight minutes of news analysis usually with people arguing over each other.

Not sure why media is downplaying the Democratic victory last night. The odds of a Senate takeover were basically nil and Abrams, Beto and Gillum were always underdogs.

Looking forward to seeing Trump's taxes.
