"don't know that they're honoring Lucifer"

I still maintain my bastardization of a line from The Usual Suspects:

The greatest trick the devil ever played on man was convincing the wicked that they were pious.

"Will you shut up, man?" "It’s hard to get any word in with this clown." Biden got in some damned good shots at Trump.

If you think those are "good shots" Trump has already won.

Mr. Biden was not tenuous, was not pale and placid, was not weary and certainly was not weak.

That reminded me of the (hilarious) video they put out last night to promote BORAT 2:

Trump and Biden supporters are starting to sound alike: "He never had stroke!"

Biden said to Trump:  “It is what it is because you are who you are.”

That was a great line...drowned out by the massive amount of Trump word vomit.

If I was the God of Debates....

The next debate would be the two men in the same locations but in separate rooms (with a debate moderator in the room to watch) and the moderator would ask questions to each as formatted...but the mics will be cut after time is up or if the agreement to not talk over the opponent is broken.

Your TV screen would have 3 frames (either candidate on either side with the mod in the middle.

This removes the ability for (an asshole like Trump) to try to physically intimidate and mean mugging at his opponent.  And this eliminates the “audience factor” when supporters/sycophants cheer to give a candidate a visceral boost.

I'm with Rodrigo - that made me cringe.

I disagree.  Trump is a clown.  Biden was right to call him out on his buffoonery.

Calling him a ‘clown’ was being kind.

A clown can apply his make-up a lot better.

Fuck Donald Trump and even the pretense that people should be respectful of the “office”.

He’s been shitting on all of us for years.  He deserves no respect whatsoever.

I know of a at least one Republican who is voting for Biden, solidified by last night's "debate".

Of course he is a clown and deserves no respect.

It's just bad strategy by Biden.

If you go down and tussle in the mud with a pig, you'll both get dirty. The difference is the pig is going to like it.

I can't see having much to criticize Biden for. Not being perfection? So the bar is below sea-level for Trump to even behave like a normal person for half a minute, but any small flaw for Biden equals total disaster scenario? You have somebody clearly incompetent and inexperienced in almost all areas of existence versus someone provably competent again. I'm looking at filling a position, where's the dramatic decision... it's a no-brainer! People went for Hillary (almost three million more? I had it wrong all this time as 'just' two mill, wow she sure failed to turn out people, wtf?) and they are going even more for Joe. This entire Trumpian period has been both illegitimate and undermining of U.S. security, strength, and morals, more divided against yourselves than ever by every measure according to most of the rest of the world, and anyone with just self-preservation instincts would go with a possibly 'boring' but competent candidate. You are hiring someone for a job, a job very important to you, punishing mostly imaginary liberal extremists is worth throwing your future and stability away for?

I caught Rush Limbaugh's act once and that was all I needed to see or hear of him. I didn't even need to see an Apprentice fantasy show to read Trump as puffed-up big front of nothing much... lesson: why subject yourself to known garbage? I don't want to waste the time. "There are more trees in the U.S. today than when the country was founded" told me all needed to know about Limbaugh. "Only I can make the deals and fix things" from Trump was all I needed to know about him = confidence trickster. Whatever you say you're buying he will be selling and more for it than anybody.

He was caught on tax evasion long before running for Republican president, it was a jewelry importing tax avoidance scheme, mister 'buy American'. Where is the information in this information age? If people don't know the New York Times means something over a website created last thursday... well, here you are, right? Having to learn the very basics over again the hard way. Ow! :^(

That stuff with Trump involved even being called a debate is like mistaking a corn dog for fillet mignon.

If you don’t tussle back, the pig will simply walk all over you.
