I wish we had, y'know, one of these things for this new piece.

This commission is utterly brilliant. It's a combination of elements from several things I loved during my childhood, and still cherish today:

1) The comprehensiveness of JB's FF "Family Portrait" of the Lee-Kirby era characters, originally featured as the center spread of FantaCo's Fantastic Four Chronicles and later a Marvel Press poster (which I didn't score a copy of until the 21st century, and really must have framed and mounted one of these days!);

2) JB's Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Deluxe Edition covers, with the characters on parade (sorry JB couldn't finish that series of covers -- perhaps due to his leaving Marvel to do Superman, or rather due to Shooter's fit of pique over JB doing Superman causing JB to be thrown off Marvel projects he had planned to continue, as with the FF title);

3) All the wonderful characters and stories from JB's own FF run. As with many of you, inspiring enough to get the Omniboo off the shelf for some delightful holiday weekend reading!

Right up there with my favorite commissions, for sure! Wish I'd thought of it. Truly is a balm on FF-related disappointments of late, as others have suggested. This is the team Stan and Jack created, done right! (Fox should have JB on speed dial. Seriously.)

I just went back to see if I missed a hidden Hubert or Adolf Hitler in the composition somewhere, and found that I did in fact overlook little Luna, Quicksilver and Crystal's little girl, cradled in Crystal's arms (FF 240.)

JB, these ensemble pieces are amazing and must take a huge amount of time to draw. On behalf of many hours of entertainment reading all of the above appearances, thank you!

Eh. One out of 59 isn't going to keep me up nights. Josh, any idea which it is? Anyone?
