I've seen something that might be similar to what you might be getting, John. A sort of flatened, circle-shaped robot on wheels which follows a seemingly random path.

If I remember correctly, the gadget I saw cleaned very well but had to take frequent stops for unloading.

I wish it was my foot, there are far worse places for a cold wet nose!

Boy, haven't I learned that the hard way.

edited to add: pardon the pun.

Sometimes when we wake up in the middle of the night, it's sitting on the end of the bed WATCHING US!  Oh sure, it acts all innocent, but I know something's up...

Tom I think your Roomba might be gay.

Just curious....  Who'll empty it?  Eventually it will need to be emptied.

John, if the floor is fairly open and uncluttered, it'll do a fantastic job! We
have one and we love it! Of course, we have mostly wood floors with area
rugs -- I know, I know... so gay!

••

Hey, I'm an artist, remember? Same difference!

Anyway -- good to know it works with the bare-floor-rug transition, too. I
was planning to use it only in the Studio, which has wall-to-wall, but that
suggests I can also use it in the TV room.

Oh, eventually, that will happen too. Nah, it was louder than advertised, and just didn't work as advertised either. Hey, could just be a bad one, but I wasn't very impressed...
