If I recall correctly, JB was given some grief about Wolverine saying "..is in Hell" yet now it's OK to have Wonder Woman walking around saying "Out of my way sperm bank". When was the line crossed?

I think it is a marketing move. Why even print the censored words just to black them?

It's all a gimmic to gain attention.  Somewhere down the line the craetors thought that the characters were no longer interesting on their own so they had to come up with this kind of crap to create buzz for the title.  Also, it could be a method to help to throw off the fact that this title is constantly late.  Either way, Miller is destroying the concept of Batman with this stupid storyline!

It's like Frank Miller doesn't even love comics anymore.

••

When it became all about the singer, instead of the song.

"It's like Frank Miller doesn't even love comics anymore."

Comics to Frank Miller: "I want a divorce"

Something like that? I think comics and Frank Miller went their separate ways long ago. He just keeps coming back for the odd Booty Call and comics has no self respect.

Does Frank Miller have an online presence of any kind where all this might be discussed? I'd be curious to read his thoughts and or reasoning about the whole issue and this book in general.

Could not have said it better....I miss the song.

This is a DC comic.  It bears DC's symbol on the cover, which means everything inside is sanctioned by DC Comics.  No excuses.  Miller should be canned, and an apology should be published in the next issue

There's an irony here. A friend who works up at DC was telling me just a week or so ago of a conversation he'd had with an editor. This editor expressed his concern that "comicbook swearing" (%@$!) was being used in the dialog of characters like Superman. Since "we all know what that shorthand means" the editor thought it inappropriate that it should even be implied that Superman, or any other superhero, would use the words that could not actually be printed.

Meanwhile, just a few doors down the hall, this book had been coming out for more than a year.

I spoke with a friend the other day who informed me that a Spirit movie is coming out and that it is directed by Frank Miller (I know this isn't news). He was excited and I told him I probably wouldn't be seeing it. He argued "but it's Frank Miller". I said, "I know, obviously you've never read The Spirit."
