I just finished reading this and I am really excited in seeing where this series is headed. Gail has written herself another fine comic book. The art combination of JB and Trevor Scott is very inspired. I can't wait to see this new Atom rescue the big guns of the DCU. This is what more comics should be, fun.

Loved the "adventure in the shirt" scene almost as much as the carpet scene in the "Brave New World" story. Amazing attention to detail from JB!

Sad to see the Demon go, but this series will provide much JB goodness!

Great first issue. Loved reading the quotes. Kind of reminded me when JB did that in the Next Men. I really like Trevor Scott's inks over JB's art. Very nice. Nice supporting cast. Looking forward to reading the all new Atom's adventures.

Even better than I thought it would be, but now I wonder...

Whatever happened to Ray Palmer?!?

And when can we expect an announcement on your next project, JB?

Lubbin' it.

I'm digging the scientific angle, with Choi being a former science boy and all that, plus the supporting cast is all brainiacs.

I like the historical quotes, because I feel like I'm getting some education.  But I'm not sure what to make of them -- is that going to be a "thing" with this series?

I'm glad there's a legacy to Ray Palmer -- Choi is clearly a fan of Palmer, having corresponded with him.  This will leave room for all types of interesting stories that can involve both.

Most of all, I like this micro-enemy civilization.  Very interesting.

Most of my comments center around the writing, I realize.  But my enjoyment of a well drawn comic book is inseparable from what is happening in the issue.  It's a seamless product for me, and I'm optimistic about the Atom.

I loved it as well..the writing as awesome and the art...it's like finding JB all over again. I love how each project has a brand new art style...yet is still JB...can't wait for issue 2

I loved this first issue: Great story and great art.

Both Simone, Byrne and Scott earn kudos for that.

A brilliant piece, from all hands!

Great writing, great pencils, great inks, great color, great lettering!

The characters introduced seem like they will be fun to get to know better, the penciling is top notch (naturally), and the inks seem like a great compliment to JB's art as well as adding just the right amount of depth.

And I'm just not sure I've seen this Trevor Scott before. What else has he done?

And finally --

JB: any idea if Gail will be back to check out our thoughts, like she was with Action? Let her know she's always welcome!

I believe he inked Frank Quitely on The Authority.
