Wish DC had put out some TPBs for the series. It might had found a new audience on the bookstores...

Jeez, a lot happens when you go away for a long weekend.  While this was expected it is still always a wrench when it is confirmed.  I look forward to the remaining issues before moving on to the Atom.

That is true John. Etrigan looks different with his eyes shut. Somehow almost more scary than ever. You don't know when he will awake and pounce.

Hmmm...  I was thinking that it made him look a little more human.

I don't mind that JB has remained silent over this matter.

Our perspective as fans, reflects respect for both Mr. Byrne and his fine work.  I agree with those folks that have said Blood of the Demon has been a tour de force effort on his part and this book will be sorely missed - if it is actually cancelled.

I can certainly throw my dollars at whatever book JB is producing at DC and I do look forward to The All New Atom.

My one wish would be that the seriously warped detractors of John Byrne would just stay the hell away from this new book.  They really don't have anything too important or original to say anymore.

Unfortunately Chuck, some of the most vocal Byrne bashers haven't bothered to look at a book of his in years.

This pisses me off. I've enjoyed BoTD, and this decision just plain sucks.

I'm VERY VERY sad, I must say.

Oh, and sorry about the new thread I started about the last issue before I found this one.

the fact that Mr. Byrne has yet to chime in on this thread regarding the end of this series is giving me hope. Perhaps foolishly so, but hope nonetheless.

Dang! It was going to survive my upcoming purge (to 10 books/month) too . On to Atom. and the eventual JLA cassified. Nothing I can do but buy every issue till it's done.

I the case that this is the final issue, I just hope that Mister B. is/was able to wrap up the plots.

If this is all wrong, well, I will definitively continue to buy the book. I really enjoyed the series so far. It has something special that the other "superheroes " books don't have.

Ad, er, yes, this is a very nice cover. BUt it makes the rumor looks eve more true!

I don't think the solicitation, posted above, is wrong.  If they are going to put the words "Final Issue" in previews, they had better mean it, because it would be the kiss of death anyways.

I thought we were getting 2 Byrne books a month again when I saw the solicits for the Atom book until I noticed them canceling the Demon.

Are there any more irons in the fire to get you back up to drawing 2 books a month?
