If you drew something for Kubert to ink, what subject/character(s) would you pick?

WOW! Awesome commission piece again JB! I will have to think on what I want for mine..... I didn't realize you liked Star Wars enough to have your own C-3PO in your home! :)

Just the first one. Still one of my favorite movies -- in
its original form.

"It'll go in the TV room, with my Storm Trooper."
Oh, now you need to get an R2-D2. "My partner seems to have picked up a
slight flutter. If you don't mind, I'd like to take him down to maintenance."
Before this gets hijacked into a Star Wars thread, you've said before that
you've approached Joe to work on something together (the Hawkman story
for the Julius Schwartz tribute) and he turned you down -- have you
considered approaching him about any other collaboration?

JB, do you really need a droid that understands the binary
language of moisture vaporators?

Well, his first job was programming binary load lifters, quite similar to your vaporators in most respects.
"...shutting up, sir."

I had a perfectly delightful conversation with Joe, as they always are, and he begged off solely due to scheduling considerations. That said, if I am ever able to convince DC to let me do GENERATIONS as an montly, ongoing series, one of my fiendish notions is to have a different inker on every issue. Should there be a WW2, Sgt Rock chapter, I would sell vital body parts to convince Joe to ink it. Especially if it had Batman in it!

Wow... Sgt Rock and Batman? That would be one incredible story. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for GENERATIONS: THE SERIES.

I, too, wish for GENERATIONS the on-going, since it is the closest we'll ever get to seeing JB writing/drawing Batman on a semi-regular basis.
I also wouldn't object too audibly if JB inked some of those issues, hisself, either!

JB -
That is a fiendishly clever notion. Kubert would be a fantastic match for that story, and it would be fun to see "guest inkers" work with you. Maybe era specific (Ramona Fradon for the 60s? running out of some of the obvious choices, such as Curt Swan or Jim Aparo, sadly) maybe just seeing what others would do with your work?
Fiendishly clever.
