Been super excited about this SHE-HULK Omnibus since it was announced but am not super excited about the new coloring they are using on this cover which Near Mint Condition got from Marvel and posted earlier today. Is it just me or do the original colors look much better than this? On the plus side, only the cover is recolored unlike the ABSOLUTE SWAMP THING which had everything recolored (though I think the colors on that look much better than this, but I'd still prefer to get the original coloring).

The colorist has used the power some idiot gave him to enlarge one eye, narrow the other, and re-draw the details around the lips to purse them and give her something akin to a snarl. And then he wrote his name with bigger letters than the original artist, 'cause, hey, we know who's the real genius here, right? A textbook example of unchecked, unadulterated ugliness.

As an aside, has anyone noticed how much She-Hulk 34, 40., and 43 are going for on Ebay? I can't remember which, but one of those three was on the top 10 hottest back issues a few weeks back.
#40, the jump rope cover/issue is regularly going for $50+ and has sold for $80 more than once in recent weeks.
Listed as rare and controversial, I don't really get it. I value JB's work as much as anyone else but these prices seem silly.

Not a fan of recoloring - but the altering of the actual artwork (e.g., the eyes, lips) is unforgivable.

When this finally comes out, I’ll need a report on the printing. Shiny paper? Pass!

The She-Hulk graphic novel was great fun, and I'm glad it's included in this collection.

That may have been my first exposure to JB's mutant ability to make me interested in characters I'd previously not cared about.

" Shiny paper? Pass!"
...
Yeah, my foray into slick paper is about over (unless the original form). I have both of JB's She-Hulk runs in tpb form with non shiny paper and they're perfect. If the Omnibus is non-shiny it would be interesting to see the graphic novel story.

Also SICK of shiny/glossy paper! I love the nice, hearty, toothy, white, NON-glossy paper.

I like the paper DC used for those big Jack Kirby Fourth World collections.
