Question on the signature, how does one get one's name on the page (To Jeff...)? Is that something we can request from Jim Warden?*** Personalization is available at no extra charge, upon request. (Tho, I may have to ask for some non-refundable payment before receipt of the piece, if personalization is desired. No one has yet proven dissatisfied with one of these pieces, but the chance always exists, and it would be harder to sell on eBay a piece that's dedicated "To Bob" than one without a dedication.)

Stellar, JB. Looks grim for the galaxy, but still the Surfer has a way of instilling hope...

I guess I'll go out on the limb here. JB, in your opinion, who would win?
And I want John's opinion to be the definitive and only opinion given. I'm
sure we all have our own ideas about how the battle would unfold, but let's
keep them to ourselves. Thanks!

Wow, this is AWESOME!!!
This looks a little like I'd imaged but much, much....more! I just hope that someday we'll get to see the whole untold tale 'cause this looks like a tale I'd like to read. This makes me "miss" comics more than ever.
Thanks so much, JB!!!

Tie. But the story I came up with played with
elements of the histories of both characters, so there
was a lot more to it than a cosmic slugfest.

"Tie."
That's refreshing to hear. Too often I feel the power of the Phoenix (Dark or otherwise) is considered to trump any and all comers.

Never doubted that for an instant.

GREAT idea for a commission...it's hard to think of those rare confrontations in a universe where everybody has fought everyone else at some point.
Although it seems Phoenix would trump Surfer in terms of raw power, Surfer would likely have an advantage in terms of experience.

I'm sure I'm exposing my ignorance about Dark Phoenix (perhaps more!), and maybe that's because I stopped reading comics shortly after the original story-arc, but wasn't the Phoenix entity introduced as a power to rival Galactus? Why a tie then with the Silver Surfer?

The power of Galactus is infinite. The Surfer is
vested with a portion of that power. A piece of infinity
is... infinite!
