If only this would lead eventually to making a really excellent AI realization of, like, Neal Adams' early 70s Batman. 

It won't, though.

Of course we are speculating in order to even discuss this, but I believe the future of AI will lead to the Neal Adams Batman video/film you want-- but it will be created privately and posted in some A.I. Tumblr/DeviantArt site with no promotion so you may never get to see it!

struggle when people get him wrong because he is such an important
character that I really love.

I don’t mind their Doom so much. None of the movies have yet managed to make the mask work. This variant might solve some of the problems, and the covered parts of his face could still be scarred.

If you look closely at Reed in one of the later images
therein, his suit appears to have a "4" grafted over a
recolored Incredibles logo.
