You might not normally think of cosmic Jim Starlin doing a supernatural book, but his fill-in issue GHOST RIDER #35 remains possibly my all-time favorite single-issue story. (With inking and layout help from Steve Leialoha, Al Milgrom, and Mike Netzer.)

I just met Steve Leialoha today at Comic-Con and asked him about that Jim Starlin GHOST RIDER issue, who did what. He said Starlin sort of lost interest in the issue after a falling out with Marvel/the editor and did less and less finished pencils as the pages went on. He considered the artwork maybe 50/50.
He was very nice, by the way.

Mike Ploog dabbled in some Dr. Strange covers when the Master of the Mystic Arts had his run in Marvel Premiere.

Looking at those Ghost Rider pages - was it usual for his bike to completely change in design from non-flaming to flaming?

At some point, Ghost Rider switched from his white-skull (sturdy) stunt bike to a hellfire-produced red flaming bike that he could create (and uncreate) at will. The Starlin story apparently was mostly done during the white real bike phase and then the framing sequence was done later.
