You are correct, Michael! Although, as always, it comes down to what is considered canon. The age difference between Reed and Sue (around 10 years) was established in a letter column! Hank and Jan’s separation was implied by her being a debutante (traditionally around 17) when introduced.

And do we even consider Thor and Jane Foster? (Complicated by the “evolution” of the character from Don Blake with Thor’s powers to actually being Thor himself!)

Even with the retcons, Blake the imaginary construct was placed by Odin into med school, so he still had to establish and develop that practice.

(It has long frustrated me that writers insist on returning to the message inscribed on the hammer. They look for others who might be “worthy”, but in the retcon’s context all that would be part of Odin’s fantasy background for Blake. The hammer’s enchantment should have no effect on anyone but him.)
