Eh, to be fair, I think that Dave Cockrum deserves that analogy more - e.g. he created Wolverine's alter-ego like Finger created Bruce Wayne. Not a perfect analogy, since Finger was responsible for much more than that.

Personally I'd say that JB is more the Jerry Robinson for Wolverine, which is still a high honor!

It’s not a clean fit, but I would say Romita/Trimpe are the “Bob Kane” of this equation, followed by Dave as Finger/Robinson, and then me as Neal Adams.

This refers to character impact, not talent.

I can't fault that. I was focused on the "day 2" aspect of your time with Wolverine, but also the long-lasting stylizing of the character (I was initially going to go with Dick Sprang). But Adams works as an analogy for the second criteria for sure.
