Recently saw an X-Men cover variant with Donald Duck in Wolverine’s brown and tan costume. So there’s my favorite Disney character in a costume I designed. My eight year old self is totally kvelling!

Paul, that's the "tiger stripe" costume on the cover you linked to there, though interestingly, the pose is based on JB's cover to "Wolverine" #17.

Huh... While trying to locate the artwork JB referred to, I notice in most results where there's a homage to a classic Wolverine cover, they put Donald in the yellow and blue striped outfit, such as the one based on Frank Miller's cover to "Wolverine" #1 mini-series. On the original, Wolverine was sporting JB's outfit.

He probably saw this cover, based on Jim Lee's X-MEN#1: LINK
So strange that there are 2 other covers that they switched costumes from what they are homaging, but not this one.
There's also this one from X-MEN#137: LINK

I love these! Especially the FF cover - the original is iconic and it's so wonderful to see this fun riff on JB's work.
