Yep - I was sure that the first piece was a Byrne pic too!

Suckered in by that chest/arm hair!

“For John bring em back - Neal Adams”

Now that is so cool, it must have been a great feeling to know Neal wanted to see more of your Doomsday +1 and he wanted to make sure that you received his cover as a gift!

This had among the first pieces in your art collection. What a wonderful piece of art, it deserves a belated CONGRATS!!!

Looks very "JB", overall, but the hatching on the big guy's legs feels more "Neal" to me.

A great, very cool piece.

Very cool imitation of early Byrne and what a nice way to pay a compliment.

I had to look really, really close but I still would've bet
good money that this was your pencils inked by Adams! What
a wonderful keepsake!

I had the Bullseye with that in color on the back plus half of #7 of Doomsday +1... which was run across two issues. I miss those two issues I had immensely, especially as one was autographed... #4 & 5. There was sure a lot of cool stuff that appeared in that 'fan'zine!

I saw this picture yesterday and was struck by its movement and action. Not sure who else was involved in this though.

This would have been an amazing scene in one of the TV episodes.

Speaking of Neal, I had a head-scratcher of a moment the
other day. I'd decided to re-read my Kirby Fourth World
Omnibuses, and lo and behold, there was Neal's signature on
one of the Jimmy Olsen covers. I was dead certain I'd
ordered all of them but the fourth on Amazon, and could not
for the life of me figure out how it came to be that I had
a Neal Adams signature in one of them. Then the mundane
answer hit me - I noticed once, years ago, while perusing
his website, that he was selling autographed copies and
that's where I got my first. Anyway, nice little surprise
I left myself there, and I'll no doubt go through this same
thought process again on my next re-read.

That SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN cover points up something that bugged me about that concept.

Steve Austin lost his right arm and both legs, all replaced with mechanical parts. But everything in between was still normal flesh and blood. Which raises the question of what would happen if he attempted the feat shown here. Wouldn’t the mechanical arm rip itself right off the biological body?

Or even if he was able to lift it above his head, the weight of the engine
should smoosh his torso like an accordion.
