Hey There! A couple questions that I haven't seen the answers to over the years (Apologies if you've been asked a million times.)
1. Was there pressure from Shooter to have a big change of some sort coming out of 'Secret Wars' for the titles affected?
2. Similarly - was replacing Ben already an idea you had percolating?

Swapping She-Hulk for Ben made for a nice change. She fit into the team well and it freshened things up. I like the Thing, but I didn't really miss him once you swapped it up.

Succinct!
But you also clearly grew fond of the She-Hulk character and gave us a great series you seemed to have a lot of fun on! (Not to mention the recent TV adaptation and open that whole can of worms, but it definitely had an impact on the culture. And let's not even talk Deadpool).
Sometimes you do something you didn't want to to do, but it ends up being right, somehow. I guess?

Roger Stern made me love She-Hulk. Forced to make a “major change” to the FF I could think of nothing better than having her temporarily replace Bashful Benjamin.

For a Secret Wars II tie in, you had the Beyonder restore Dr. Doom to his original body. I recently enjoyed a reread your Fantastic Four run and found myself wondering about how this came about.
Was this the only plan for bringing back Doom?

I had several notions of how to restore Doom. None of which involved the Beyonder!

I would have liked to have read your non Beyonder version. I was trying to figure out what would have worked, that didn't involve a supreme being messing with the story, but it was beyond me (especially since Doom's body and the man inhabiting it was destroyed).

I'm guessing a Doombot would have been involved! I don't remember the circumstances of his death, though.
