Watching the striking writers marching with signs featuring their own handwritten messages, I find myself wondering isn’t that writing?

Just the way my twisted mind works.

As a WGA member, I would point out we are allowed to write all we want during the strike-- just not for pay.

To be even more specific, we can write for anything that doesn't fall within the WGA's jurisdiction -- e.g., animation, comics, novels, etc.

Aren’t they striking for more money—potential pay!

Work done on spec is not under WGA control -- until you sell it.

If anyone tries to sell the writing on their picket sign, during the strike, to a company or project that's being struck, though-- you better believe that's trouble!

The writers' strike is OVER.

Meanwhile, SAG-AFTRA and the studio CEOs continue negotiations.

UPDATE: SAG-AFTRA states that the studio CEOs have refused to continue negotiations and won’t offer a counter to SAG’s latest offer.

Someone needs to write an ending to this saga.
