I like the furry Beast. His transformation from being overly intellectual, to being a tragic monster, to accepting himself and being funny was done well in Avengers.

It's really hard for me to decide which furry Beast rendition that I like more, JB's or Perez's.

When in Avengers the Beast is furry. When in X-Men the Beast is original version, costume / uniform and all.
That's how I have it in my mind.

Oh, ouch. Talk about a near impossible choice. While it's JB's rendition of SO MANY characters that pops into my head when I think of them, I have to give it to George on this one. Something about Beast's face, in particular, that I just can't put my finger on that gives it to George.

One of my favorite furry Beast moments was in Marvel Team-Up: A bunch of women are hanging around Hank, and Spider-Man wishes he had been bitten by a radioactive blue gorilla!

Hank was yet another character who slipped into the Blue Valley. Like Batman, Spider-Man, the X-Men and others, he started black, and thru a combination of production errors and the crush of deadlines, turned blue.

Hank also very quickly went from a beast to a cuddly teammate. The same mistake they made with Nightcrawler.

It's funny because I only have the Essentials, so no color, but there's a story where they note his fur turning black. Which I think means they went from gray highlights to blue.

Yup. Grey, being a K tone, was more expensive.

I was a big fan of the original run of X-Factor, and it's funny because I was overjoyed when hairless Hank returned early in the run... but equally happy when the Simonsons brought the furry beast back a few years later!
