Yes - although I'd confidently stated before, having heard it claimed by others, that he WOULDN'T be Charles III, given the unfortunate associations with I and II, but would probably be George VII.

R.I.P Queen Elizabeth II. It had to happen, of course - and after the death of Prince Philip last year, I think a lot of people assumed it would be sooner rather than later - but it's still hit hard. Rumours had begun to circulate this afternoon that she was dead, and that the BBC were waiting for the 6 o'clock news to officially confirm the news, but when they did, it still came as something of a shock.

I don't think it's that weird. She was the bedrock of multiple generations. As world leaders have got sillier and sillier, she always remained the adult in the room.

Yeah, it's very sad indeed. Working right up until the end as well. I did like and respect her.

I'm now just trying to wrap my head around the idea that stamps and the back of money here will be changing. It's seemed like one of the very few constants in life.
