Thanks for the pages!

And hey I had the same "Resource" error message the last time I tried to post a picture.

I hope Rudy is okay.

••

Under the heading of "filling the gaps with text", he's not!

As some of you may have guessed, this not-so-mysterious stalker is what grew out of the scrap of "asparagus" left behind a while back.

Poor Rudy. Apparently he has never watched a horror movie. You never go down a creepy hole alone with a flashlight yourself.

Alas, poor Rudy, we barely knew ye.
Glad to see these pages, JB, and thanks.

But where would writers be if people really thought like that?

JB is so good at horror/suspense that I swore that ‘asparagus leg’ in the 5th
panel moved BEFORE I hit the 6th!

Light and shadow with a bit of grey wash.  Gorgeous page!

Dang Mr. Byrne you are a master of composition and detailed execution. One of the last great masters of line art.  It will be a huge loss to the world the day you stop drawing altogether.

...oh yeah, you spin a pretty fine yarn too. I'm hooked. :)

I almost forgot how fun it is to read things serially like this.  You could make a lawn mower instruction manual a compelling read.

What a surprise, JB!! Love seeing these "new" pages.

Getting all these issues of X-MEN.ELSEWHEN has been a MAJOR treat... and I will definitely revisit these issues from time to time.

Thanks for sharing!

-C!

Man - the choice of camera angles! A budding director could learn a thing or two from this page

Big piles of broken stuff…?  I seriously doubt that’s what comes to mind when people ponder your work LOL

I think of your ability to not only mix the fantastic with the everyday, but also to pay respect/homage to those who came before without it being a ripoff of their work; and to think outside the norm in your storytelling

But what do I know anyway ;-)

And like most everyone else I’ll take whatever art you want to share, while being thankful for what we got… (I think Elsewhen is on par length-wise with your original X-men run so that ain’t too shabby at all…

Thank you for posting this.

I would never have guessed this kind of intro to the issue that followed the cliffhanger in 31 but it flows well.

The art is simply astonishing.

And as for the comment "Pretty girls? Sci fi tech? Monsters?

As it turned out, big piles of broken stuff!!" ... well, in my opinion, you've done ALL of those thing great!!!

Your tech is up there with Kirby.

Your monsters are up there with the EC greats.

Your pretty girls... well, let's just say there is ample evidence of your abilities.

Carry on as you will.  Again, thank you for this.
