I am glad you are getting this surgery JB. I recall when Mike Nesmith got this
surgery ion 2012, it changed his life for the better. He was convinced that he
was going blind and felt the surgery gave him a new lease on life. He reunited
with the Monkees and spent his last years touring with them and also doing
shows of his own solo music. He seemed renewed.

I can't even watch people put contacts in without my own eyes watering, so I
would be terrified at the prospect of the surgery itself. I hope you are doing OK
- it sounds like a tough road, but with a great destination.

I wonder if you’ll still have floaters (or as I call them Kirby crackle)?

Removing floaters is a whole separate process. I asked!

It is amazing what eye doctors can do these days. My
friend who has always had eye trouble suddenly went blind
after a fall a couple of months ago. He went to the VA
Hospital to get it checked out. It turned out to be scar
tissue built up over time from a previous surgery. The
doctors burned it off with a laser and his vision is back
to what it was 30 years ago.
