Just came across a recent photo of Paul D'Amato. He still looks like someone that you wouldn't want to F with, and has greyed just like Logan in 2013(!) with the same widow's peak. Just needs the trademark hairstyle and jacket, and he'd be set.

How tall is he? Can't get behind another six footer. That smaller stature is too much a part of the character.

I imagine that comes from the journalist looking at D'Amato's IMDB page, which has that as one of the very few details about him.
I wonder if he's still working at that ski resort?

Peter, I'm sure that's the case. Though I can imagine D'Amato not ever looking at his own IMDB entry, but almost definitely reading an article that he knows is being written about him. So one way or another, he's probably aware of the inspiration at least.
