Wow!
I was out of comics by the time Alpha Flight had their own mag, so they were "big" enough at the time to warrant an in story shirt to be made?

Just to be clear, that shirt isn't mine -- just found it online :)
The only Alpha Flight shirts I knew of were --

Me too! Those shirt sizes were so small... every time I find them on eBay, nothing ever fits me (and I usually wear a modern size medium!)

Makes sense! Feels like the result of poor communication between the Marvel office and their consumer products people.
I can’t imagine that shirt selling at all after the big reveal.

I believe these shirts come from web stores that will print anything on a t-shirt for you if you submit an image. Copyrights do not seem to bother them.

With the trademark stuff on the shirts, they look like official releases. Most of the bootleg shirts don't have that information.
