Just the attitude in those panels summed up what made me like the character so much back then. He wasn't no Zen monk. The dude was dangerous. A barely-controlled dangerous who could've laid you as as soon as he shook your hand, if you had the wrong look about you when you met.

As a teenager who didn't hang around with all the Cool Kids in school, this loner with a heart of gold was a sort of ideal for me, notwithstanding the tendency to go berserk if things got too hairy for him.

Glad to see this as I think JB's run defined the character.  I'm really liking some of the panels you guys have posted above - keep 'em comin'!

Argh! Why does that waitress have a miniature cowboy hat stuck to the side of her face?? That artist needs some lessons!

His later stuff was...
*SNIKT*
...I was gonna say, 'devoid of waitresses with miniature cowboy hats stuck to the side of their faces.'
Logan thought I was gonna say...
*SNIKT*
Never mind....

You mean I've been waiting all this time for the second appearance of Ear-Hat and she was a mistake?

Rafael,

There was a company that produced a shirt with that Logan image. Thought you might be interested...

Do they sell it in internet, Nathan?

Put your vote where your mouth is, y'all: Comic Book Resources currently has a poll on "All Time Favorite Wolverine Artist"

********************************

In the post they created about it in Facebook, I just wrote in the comments: "John Byrne". Two or three guys I never met answered the post saying: "Amen, brother"!

Jim Lee did draw a damn nice Wolverine, but I don't see how this is even a contest. If I ever find out who these people are that aren't voting for JB, I'm going to give each and every one a demerit in my Personal Slight's Record Book.
