Beautiful stuff; puts most of the work out there by the Big two to shame, IMO.

Thanks, tho I don't know that I would necessarily agree. There's a LOT of good art out there. Unfortunately, this obsession with full scripts that has apparently possessed so many writers (and editors) means the artists aren't getting much to draw outside of talking heads.

Sort of like hiring Olympic runners to deliver packages and then insisting they were forty pound lead weights on each foot!

Q for JB:  do you know the name of those "adventurer pants"(like Golgotha, Doc Savage, the Rocketeer, etc.?).  I've been trying to find some good reference photos and I'm having trouble figuring out if they're called dungarees, jodhpurs or something else entirely.

Wow!

First time in recent memory that I look at slanted panels without wincing.

Good show!

JB said : Oh, and by the way, Wallace, I'm thinking of you when I speak of characters appearing without explanation. I don't want you in the vanguard of those with exploding heads!

I think I got that !

From what I've seen of this new title I am more than impressed. Look forward to seeing the finished product. JB is on a roll with his creator owned projects.

A JLA/Avengers-style team book sounds very intriguing! I eagerly await any new characters that will emerge.

I borrowed there from the cross-company crossovers that had gone
before. SUPERMAN vs THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN offered no explanation of
how the titular heroes could "suddenly" be in the same "universe". They just
WERE, and, significantly, ALWAYS HAD BEEN.

X-Men Teen Titans did this as well, and I thought it was awesome! I wish
the focus would just shift back to telling good stories and cater less to fan-
boy anal retentiveness!

The anal-retentive (does anal-retentive have a hyphen?) fanboys are now running the show. The navel gazing will only get deeper and more impenetrable.

Woah, I must have missed the news about this new series. Love the idea of multiple JB super-hero books operating in the same universe.

And the Marvel Universe-style covers is just the icing on the cake.

And the anal-retentive navel gazers become navel-retentive anal ....
