And everything is set for the live-action 3D Ultraman stage show!

Mayhem ensues, and the warriors from The Land of Light suddenly appear to save the audience.

Alien Baltan is summoned by show's villain, and does his creepy laugh for the audience...

While a defeated Ultraman is hung out to dry...

...Or, is he? (Cue the Ultraman theme song)

Monster Zetton appears in burst of stage light to menace Ultraman again:

... And gets beaten up by just about everyone who is on stage:

Engaging Time Warp!  Leaving 1966 for 2011!

And the show's parting message from Ultraman, in 3D:

And a few photos from after returning back to the hotel in Shinagawa:

A evening trip to Shibuya required a JR Yamanote train ride from Shinagawa Station.  6:45 PM Tokyo time, and things were still rather crowded from the evening rush (though not as bad if I had tried this an hour earlier):

Outside Shibuya Station:

A required visit to pay homage to the statue of Hachiko: "The World's Most Loyal Dog."  (Last seen going up in flames as Gamera blasted the area in GAMERA 3: REVENGE OF IRIS)

Ultraman is everywhere!

Looking toward the famous Shibuya Crossing (with a huge crowd currently on the move).  The Starbucks in the background is known to be the best place to watch people doing the crossing:

Due to the power conservation measures in the wake of the 3/11 earthquake / tsunami / Fukushima nuclear meltdown, the lights of Shibuya were really turned down, though it still seemed rather bright in comparison to a typical downtown Seattle nighttime.

And the Shibuya Crossing as seen from the Starbucks (ended up having a pricey "dinner" of a sandwich and orange juice due to spending too much time exploring the area and checking out the massive Tower Records store):

Unfortunately, there were no dancing Imperial Stormtroopers, nor Spiderman doing the crossing that night.  Did get amused by the black taxi getting stuck between lights.

That's all for Tokyo.  Next up: Kyoto.

Thanks, Bill, for spending all the time to post the pictures and commentary. That's some good stuff, there. Much appreciated!

You're welcome, Dave!

I had to really pare down the amount of photos that I took at UlFes...  I actually went through the exhibit twice:  One for detail images, and other as if you're doing a full walk-through.  I'm really amazed that some of the stage show photos came out as good as they did, because they looked like crap through my camera's display.
