And for the Iron Man fans out there, the "Iron Man Project" included some other characters involved in the Iron Man mythos -

Ant-Man, Beetle, Black Widow, Blizzard, Cobolt Man

Controller, Crimson Dynamo(s), Doctor Doom

Firebrand, Force, the Ghost, Guardsman(s)

Happy Hogan, Hawkeye, Iron Monger, Jack of Hearts, James Rhodes

Jasper Sitwell, Kang, Living Laser, Mauler, Mandroid, Mandarin

Melter, Pepper Potts, the Raiders, Shockwave

Stiltman

Stingray, Titanium Man(s), Ultimo(s)

War Machine

I, of course, favored the tradition look for each of them (no War Machine in Alien Armor or Hawkeye as Ronin for me!), and I think the early Iron Man stories (drawn by Heck, Colan or Tuska) are all greatly under-appreciated.

Do you have to wear a costume?

Yeah, why did Iron Man become "Spare Parts Man" anyway?

And I doubt this is going to be the case. Ifthey wanted leaner or sleeker, they should have gone back to the"classic" red-and-gold armor. Every suit after that one has gone awayfrom a smaller design.

That, plus the red and gold parts are placed rather randomly, which is distracting. In the classic design, and even in the ugliest designs, the red and gold parts all have clear designations: torso, limbs, lower limbs, etc. Makes sense from both a practical and design perspective.l

The first and second Iron-Man armour was the best!

My fave is the same as Flavio's. A conscient redesign of the classic red and gold.

I detest most armors from the 90s on. WAY full of useless junk.

The most recent one is an improvement over them, though. Although I do agree that the red and yellow parts should have a more logical pattern. And lose all the extra lights, please!

But isn't it what you demanded for so long? A totally streamlined Iron Man armor? Here it is.

No (Iron) Man should wear hips boots.  I hate when male characters war hip boots.

I personally liked the classic red and yellow armor like most everybody here. But, a lot of the comic book fans who had problems with the idea of "suspension of disbelief" would complain that the gold arms and legs didn't make sense, how could they be armored? This was an argument I"ve heard about every set of armor, up until the last version hit. Then the comment was, "Well as the technology advances it should get smaller, but at least this armor looks like it could work." However, I assume, it was way too complicated to draw, because nobody seemed to draw it the same way, including Adi Granov who could seem to draw it the same way twice, and I believe he is credited with the design.(I could be wrong, please correct me if I am.)
So, now we get this design and the old argument comes back. GEEZ!

Can't they just go back to the classic armor...please?!

There was an emergency involving Rhodey so Tony cobbled together that spare parts costume.
