The worst part is the changed expression. JB's is one of hope and determination - this statue instead has a sour puss.

One of these days I’ll have to dig out my remaining Sculpy (probably hard as a rock) and try my hand at a version of my Superman’s face.

PS: as much as I now wish I had not taken on the project, there is still a deep thrill to typing the words “my Superman”.

PPS: poking around Google I find many (many!) “reviews” of my work on Superman, ranging from “it sucks” to “greatest of all time”.

Neither of those is entirely true, but what strikes me is that these opinions are still being expressed now, almost forty years after the fact.

Move on, people. My Superman has been almost entirely erased. Really. Nothing to see here!

What is your regret with taking on Superman John? Your run on the book made me a Superman fan again (for a time) I LOVED your run on Superman.

"Not a fan of the darker shade of the cape, but apart from that, that one is pretty good."

That's just shadow in the picture Peter. Thankfully it's all the same color.

Amazon.com: Jada Toys Godzilla X Kong The New Empire Heat-Ray Breath Godzilla Remote Control R/C 12.5" Action Figure : Toys & Games

link to the video above of "breathing" Godzilla toy.  It's not inexpensive.

Lego’s version of an ornithopter from a the most recent DUNE. Didn’t care much for the movie, but I did like this design—tho I wish someone had told them “orni” refers to BIRDS.

Superman statue arrived this past week. Wasn't entirely bad, Decent size and I loved the cape. I just wished they would produce a statue where the man of steek actually grins.
