Have you ever used the "white outline" technique before, and could you comment on how this should be properly used?*** I use the white outline -- having first become aware of it myself in SUPERMAN vs THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN -- when it's a "busy" background, architecture and that sort of thing. Mostly -- tho not exclusively -- when it's a space shot, I let it run into the character's silhouette --- unless I particularly want to punch the character out against the b.g.

Part of me is thinking I should commission just a
space background!
****
Only if you want to kill me! Remember, I don't like to
use white-out on the commission pieces, so all
these stars are circles I have inked around!

JB, did you like Moebius's Galactus?

Yes -- especially the ship he gave him.

Man, it is always cool to see another Galactus by JB.
Fantastic illustration!
[To think that the bozo's at the studio left this guy out of Rise of The Silver Surfer.]

Chuck, I'm happy to have the studio leave Galactus out of the movies. I really like his comic book look, and I don't think it would translate well. I can only imagine what these people would do to Galactus? Black leather anyone?

Well apparently he'll actually be seen on screen in FF3, (at least I've heard that's the plan) but hopefully they'll will keep him relatively on model and suitiably majestic for his film appearance.

Wow, this is one of my favorites! Out of all the commissions I have I haven't commissioned a Galactus. I will have to correct that one of these days.

Great work JB. I agree with many others when they say your Galactus is perfect.
