JB-
I was just wondering if Mike Mignola can still use Torch of Liberty in the
Hellboy universe if a storyline called for it?

t'would be fun to see JB do a Torch of Liberty mini series someday (doing all of the writing/drawing/lettering).

Followed by a Danger Unlimited mini and/or graphic novel...

...I can dream, right?!

erm - in a collection of short prose Hellboy stories, The Torch was killed off in one of them - but his name was changed - I assumed it was because it was JB's character and they couldn't really kill what didn't really belong to them. hunh.

I really liked the Torch of Liberty, just a great design and character.
Recognizeably Byrne, but very much in the spirit of Simon & Kirby's
Captain America and Fighting American without being a pastiche or
parody.

And the villain Golgotha, there was a guy definitely deserving to be big
time. I keep thinking if I did ask for a commission, it'd probably be with
him as the villain.
