Best thing about Superman, it's not the "fat" S. That's very often a sticking
point for me.

"Fat" S:

"Skinny" S (my preference):

Don't forget this is a special test release, which means (imo) that few figurines have been produced and thus the quality is better. What do you think about it ?

The figurines I have to customize the most are the ones with half masked head (such as Wolverine, Captain America, DD, Cyclops, ... ) : the flesh paint doesn't follow the mask lines and I always have to add some flesh paint to "correct" it. I bless Eaglemoss to release the figurines in such a small format (which enables me to collect a lot of them without Ms.Richard - my wife - becoming hysteric), but this is a nightmare to paint these figurines correctly, I just don't have the skills !

Thanks for the warm welcome Richard :)

I went to Games Workshop yesterday to scope out the tools & citadel paints for fixes/customs... I managed to walk out without buying anything (for now) but it was close... when the guy showed me the 'starter kit' and then told me about the 'COMPLETE' paint kit well... as a completist I came pretty close to dropping the $250 but managed to find some willpower not yet sapped by these little lead demons.

That being said, I haven't touched a brush since painting Ral Partha figurines in my AD&D days back in the early 80's (er... tmi Mark... ease up on the geek throttle...)

I think I want one of those special test releases, Richard! :-).  I've modified a few of the Marvel figurines over the last couple of years (I've mentioned my James Spader Punisher before) but I want the last son of Krypton to be perfect when he arrives!
