"sigh" What happened to those fun characters? If you look at them in today's comics, they might look the same, but you can hardly recognize them. I love reading the silver and golden age books! They are so more enjoyable! What went wrong?

I feel the same way Scottland. I'll match the Lee & Ditko Spider-Man issues against any other run in comic history. Actually love the bronze age stuff too and a chunk of the Modern age but in the late 80s early 90s the "wheels started coming off the wagon". Although I still enjoy a good comic book now days I rarely if ever get any real sense of "fun"  or adventure from any of them.

I think what really gets my goat is all the elitist pricks that try to look down on the Super Hero genre!
