The GOP (and a lot of people outside of the GOP) are afraid that any forced removal of Trump from office would result in a lot of upheaval from his base.  At the very least, the GOP would end up losing a lot of their vote, either splitting it with 3rd parties (ala Perot in '92) or just losing their enthusiasm in turnout.

Still a good chance that the upcoming midterms turn out to be a disaster for Republicans. Fingers (still) crossed.

I dread checking this topic because - EVERY time - my first thought is, 'What has he tweeted now? ' or 'Which celebrity has he insulted?'

I can be the most over-sensitive, thin-skinned person imaginable, but I've got nothing on him.

Trump's tweeting is the last thing I pay attention to.... it's how the rest of our government acts as a result that concerns me... plus, I'm cautiously optimistic about the moral compass in this country. "Checks and balances" need to become much more than a catch-phrase/talking point.

I don't pay attention to his tweeting, nor do I follow him on Twitter, but news sites I follow inevitable cover a tweet of his.

He's brought - what's the opposite of dignity? - to the Office of the President.

Supposedly, this new documentary is excellent for clearly spelling out the link between Rump and Putin.

Robbie - Disgrace? Shame? Embarrassment? Idiocy? Incompetence? Lunacy? Malfeasance? Treason? Divisiveness? Bigotry? Assault? Slander? Libel? Betrayal? Swampiness? Collaboration? Conspiracy? Collusion? Espionage? Embezzlement? Insidiousness? Incest? Nepotism? Self-Destruction? Dictatorship? Plutocracy? Oligarchy?

I can't quite think of the word... but he's brought SOMETHING to the office of POTUS.

And this morning 45 not only blames the Dems for spreading the "3000 died in Puerto Rico" "myth" but also slams Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan, who, in a rare moment of candor, said he thought he could beat Trump in an election which he immediately walked back.  Well, Trump took to Twitter and... you do the math.

For Trump to ignore the devastation - then dismiss the deaths of 3,000 American citizens as a political ploy is gross and shameful.

And its just as shameful no republican will call him on it.

“Casualties don’t make a person look bad,” Paul Ryan told reporters. “This was a horrible storm.”

Agreed - but casualties as a result of mismanaging the response does make you look horrible and incompetent.  Such a weak, pathetic excuse for a human being... let alone an elected official.

“At least you got a new boat.” Our President seems to think finders-keepers is the rule of law.

Active Measures is an amazing documentary. Definitely worth the two hours. It gives a lot of background on Putin and his allies. Probably the best documentary I've watched this year.
