Great, just great.... yeah, what a real 'winner'. If Trump does take the stand ever, how can it mean anything knowing how many times he's been shown to 'exaggerate' or supply 'alternative facts'? President unreliable witness. It's amazing to me that families are not talking to each other over this character never mind countries.

I honestly don't know how we reached a point where there are clowns in public office. The UK has Boris Johnson, the US has Trump.

I don't mind a clown in a low-level position (e.g. city council), but Johnson is Foreign Secretary, Trump is president of the world's only superpower. Clowns at that level risk undermining so much, e.g. efforts to tackle climate change, etc.

Robbie,

Isn't Boris angling to be the next PM?

I thought Nigel Farage was the UK Trump? Boris looks like he could be a cousin though.

And now Doug Ford (brother of Rob Ford) has won the Progressive Conservative leadership race in Ontario. Strange days indeed...

Donnie Jr. is getting divorced.  Not the Trump I thought it would be, to be honest.

I'm starting to think there are zero superpowers in the world.

The US is second-to-none economically and militarily, its cultural influence is vast, its population is large and spread across a large geographical area, but how much diplomatic power does the country wield these days? The US retains strong allies across the globe, but despite this, Trump does seem to be swimming against the tide in many of his decisions on the global stage. The country is also hugely in debt, though this debt remains manageable despite its size, because of the country's huge GDP.

Russia lacks economic and cultural muscle, though it has been growing its geographic control in recent years. China is second only to the US in military spend, its economy is of global importance these days, its population is vast, but once again, it lacks on the diplomatic front. North Korea aside, it's diplomatic powers are limited and its cultural sphere of influence largely resides within its own borders.

I`m undecided if Boris is really a bumbling idiot or if
it`s a devious act that allows him to get away with
things others wouldn`t.His appearance seems very
contrived too.

Someone needs to do a Days of Future Past parody with all the people Trump has fired behind him.

Whilst my politics completely differs to Nigel Farage's, I wouldn't describe him as a clown. I disagree with what he says, but he comes across as professional.

Johnson and 45 would not be out of place in a circus.
