I've been 100% lazy when it comes to scanning my new art. This however came in the mail today. And luck would have it, I already have a scan. This was done for the Wonder Woman Day event that raises money for shelters for abused woman. It looks to be on a 19x20 board and is done in watercolor. The artist is Gary Frank.

A bit of an unexpected surprise on the last night of my Las Vegas jaunt... 
Ron Campbell - Paul McCartney Ron was the director and animator for the 1960's Saturday morning TV cartoon version of The Beatles, and also worked on the YELLOW SUBMARINE movie as well. He was a special guest at the Mirage Hotel's LOVE theatre, and had an exhibition of his Beatles animation artwork in the theatre shop. As a kid, I enjoyed that cartoon series, so it was a thrill to chat with him about it.

Thanks Paul! It was fun to learn from Ron that Ringo Starr complained a lot about the TV cartoon, since it gave everyone the impression that he was an idiot in real life... Ron Campbell's profile on the Denni Lu company website: http://www.beatlescartoon.com/rcampbell.html He had produced some original ink & water-color Beatles cartoon artwork for sale, specifically for the LOVE theater exhibition, and it really hard to pass them up, since they were about the same price as the seri-cels on the above website.

RAK rocks! He has become a regular at cons along the east coast over the past few years and I've picked up a few incredible prints, cards (Which I usually have no interest in collecting.) and sketches. Not only a unique talent, but a genuinely nice guy. Congrats on the Galactus! .... my faves from him are the cereal monster as well as the holiday television pieces he did.
